Job Description

ART REGISTRAR Role – Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Salary – Approx 4,000/Euro (TAX Free) Negotiable dependent on experience.

The minimum qualifications and skills needed

• Education/ Qualification Minimum qualification BA in Museum Studies or similar
• Museum training/experience a must.
• Work Experience Minimum 2 years working with a reputable fine art collection, gallery or museum.

Knowledge

• Have clear understanding of database Access and Collection Management Software) input
• Knowledge of art handling and storage
• Knowledge of Art Collection Management (in relation to best practices for conservation, handling, inventory, etc.)
• Very good knowledge of Contemporary Art, especially Arabic Artists

Skills

• Understanding of allocated space for placement of work purposes
• Ability to take direction and communicate effectively
• Ability to safely photograph works
• Ability to generate information requested by Management RE: catalogued information including but not limited to works, artist, dimensions, medium and origin.
• Basic computer skills Microsoft word, access, excel, PowerPoint
• Efficiency and organization
• Task oriented
