Portuguese Platform for the Performing Arts, Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal
Front of House Manager 2013
Oversaw all public areas of the two major venues, including the theatre lobby and bar along with a visual arts exhibition space. The festival acted as a showcase platform for European dance and theatre programmers and therefor I also acted as a copy proofer and translator during my internship there.

Working as a consultant for this 20 year old architectural firm based in southern Portugal, I coordinated and configured the launch of their Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles and provided consulting and training in how an architectural firm such as themselves could use social media to enhance their international public image, gain more clients and foster a ‘knowledge collectors – knowledge sharers’ profile.
O Espaco Do Tempo Artist Residency, Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal
Media & Online Public Relations Coordinator 2013
I collected and organized a video archive of all work produced and presented at this international artist residency. I also provided assistance and tutorials to the staff on how to efficiently engage their public via social media streams. I was also the copy editor for a publication produced by the artistic organization pertaining to their collaborative laboratory with artists from Germany, France and Portugal.

University Theatre Marketing & Public Relations 2010-2013
Reporting directly to the Head of the Department, I was responsible for designing advertisement that would be used by the Faculty of Creative & Critical Studies to promote visiting guest artists, faculty programmed events on and off campus, exhibitions and performances. I also headed the marketing and design for the newly established University Theatre (Theatre26) producing, developing and implementing brand image, logo design and event media design along with strong social media marketing campaigns.
Magnetic North Theatre Festival, Calgary, Alberta
Compass Points Committee Podcast Producer 2012
Represented the province of British Columbia as part of the emerging artists delegation at the bi-annual theatre festival, held in Calgary, Alberta that particular year. Recorded, edited and produced a series of interviews with performers, directors, festival staff, presenters and artistic directors present at the festival. The podcasts were then uploaded to the official festival website.

Community Outreach Event Facilitator/ Curatorial Assistant 2010-2013
Reporting directly to the Artistic & Administrative Executive, my roles and responsibilities included implementing a social media strategy to encourage memberships, managed social media campaigns and the gallery’s online presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. In conjunction with my social media responsibilities, I also coordinated community outreach events that helped bring the gallery’s presence to the local community and vice versa. Other tasks included updating the website, exhibition installation, coordinating volunteers, writing press releases, and updating membership information.

Live Music Venue Bartender 2010-2012
Bartending and serving were my main functions at this live music venue. I developed a knowledge of drink mixology, customer service in a fast paced environment and also dealt with cash out. There was also opportunity for technical on stage assistance with visiting bands, event planning, and front of house services.

Acting as the liaison between the approximately 800 participating artists and the Edmonton International Fringe Festival (North America’s largest) the job detail also included performance marketing, major sponsor event packages, general box office duties and management of staff and volunteers.

Oversaw all public areas of the theater including the lobby, bar, concession and the auditorium. Managed all usher and concession volunteers during the run of a production and ensured that the experience of each patron was enjoyable and safe.

Director/ Producer 2007-2009
Led the operation of an independent theatre company based in Bangkok and played a variety of key roles in arts administration, event management, marketing, technical set-up, design, coordinating of cast and performance creation An important weight was always put on documentation of the work. Experiments were made at this point with VJing with performance installations live feed.
