My name is Catherine. I am a current Kingston university postgraduate student in Art Market Appraisal program. I am very interested in the Contemporary Art as I am planning to pursue a career in this global art market.

Prior to coming to Kingston University last September for postgraduate, I have worked as a research assistant in the preparatory office in Chi-Mei Museum and as an exhibition assistant in one of the biggest art museums in Taiwan, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Art where I worked closely with the curators during the preparations, and assisted at several art fairs. Throughout my undergraduate programme, I was highly involved in extra-curricular activities within various student organizations. These experiences provided me the ability to work in teams, developed a strong communication skill in English and Mandarin.

Apart from my previous experiences, my current postgraduate programme at Kingston University has provided me with greater knowledge of art history and various issues that occurring in the art market today. In order to enrich my theoretical understanding of modern art history, I am taking an extra course in Central Saint Martin. I feel confident that my past experiences and my passion for arts will make me an asset to the current art market.
